Hackers can now switch back to v3.55 PS3 firmware with a new tool

Since Sony updated its PlayStation firmware to v3.56, the hacking community has been having all sorts of problems with Sony, now hackers have found a way to switch back to the older firmware.

The latest firmware v3.55 on the PlayStation 3 was hacked in no time since its release, but Sony isn’t taking kindly to jailbreakers and hackers anymore, and since Sony can change the latest firmware remotely at any time, hackers have decided to switch back to the older version of firmware.

German police raids PS3 hacker’s home

Maybe hackers can unban themselves from the PlayStation Network, but they can’t surely get themselves out of prison. That’s right, Sony is taking drastic measures in order to stop PS3 hacking, so if you’re a PS3 hacker, you might have to deal with the police like this person did.

Since banning from PlayStation Network could not stop hackers, Sony decided to involve the police, and recently, Sony sent police officers to a hacker’s home at Germany, and that hacker is now in custody.

Hackers have found a way to ‘unban’ themselves from PSN

You’ve probably heard or read that Sony is threatening to ban hackers from PlayStation Network, but this doesn’t mean that Sony has won the battle. It seems that hackers have already found a way to ‘unban’ themselves and gain access to PlayStation Network once again.

After Sony announced that it will ban players that use jailbreak tools or run pirated games, it didn’t take long for hackers to find a solution to avoid getting banned or even unban themselves.

Sony’s spokesman tricked into retweeting PS3 jailbreak code

Although Sony is still waging a war against it’s fellow PS3 hackers, it seems that hackers aren’t giving up, and they have found new ways to fight against Sony, and one of those ways is Twitter.

Although Sony wants to track down IP addresses of people that have been involved in any way with the PS3′s jailbreak, that isn’t stopping any hacker from continuing.

Latest PS3 firmware 3.56 already hacked and jailbroken in less than a day

After a new firmware was released and restraining order placed against Geohot, I would think that the Sony PlayStation 3 was safe from hackers that want to jailbreak it, but the war between Sony and hackers has just been further extended.

Although the new firmware 3.56 for PlayStation 3 is here, Sony has been proven the fact that it doesn’t take long for the hacking community to break it.
