Improved Windows Task Manager in Windows 8: Find and end applications and processes easier

If you’re Windows user, than you probably know that Windows 8 has some of the new features such as the new and redesigned boot process and ability to log in with your Windows Live ID. However, in addition to these features, we also have to mention that Windows Task Manages has been improved as well.

During the years, Task Manager was filled with all sorts of information such as the list all active applications, processes and services, but that list was confusing to some users, therefore, Microsoft decided to simplify it a bit. Now, Task Manager is comprised of list of active applications, so you can easily end them with a single click. However, if you want to find out which process is taking most of your memory, you can click on more details button that will show you the list of all active applications and processes along with the CPU,

Windows 8 Blue Screen of Death comes with a sad smilly

After the release of Windows 8 Developer Preview, we saw all sorts of changes to the user interface, and one of those changes is related to the infamous Blue Screen of Death.

Few months ago, we wrote that Windows 8 won’t have Blue Screen of Death, and instead of infamous BSoD Windows 8 should use new Black Screen of Death. Since Developer Preview is rather unstable, BSoD isn’t uncommon, and we’re glad to inform you that even BSoD has been changed.

See Windows 8 boot up in 8 secs

We’ve talked quite abit about Windows 8 recently simply because – Vista was horrible, Windows 7 much better but still not quite there, we’re hoping Windows 8 will live up to our expectations and this video below does show us one feature we want to see improved, check out Windows 8 officially boot up in this demo video in under ten seconds…

Microsoft achieves this quick boot by writing the kernel sessions to disk, essentially putting the computer in hibernation mode rather than shutting it down completely. This improves boot time by 30-70% since the computer doesn’t have to load all the drivers and services every time.

Windows 8 will have improved file management

Windows has changed a lot during the years, and Microsoft has decided to put some new changes in its upcoming OS, Windows 8, and one of the changes that we’re going to see is the improved file management.

Windows offers functional interface, but despite its functionality, this interface has its flaws especially when it comes to the copying of a large number of files. To make copying process a bit harder, there’s a problem with duplicated file names, so copying files can become sometimes a tedious process. Luckily for us,

All PC users are waiting for Windows 8 with anticipation because it will feature all sorts of improvements, and if you’re waiting for Windows 8 as well, then we’re happy to inform you that Microsoft has just confirmed USB 3.0 support in Windows 8.

Today, most devices are using USB 2.0 connectivity, but as you know, that technology will surely be replaced with USB 3.0 in the near future, so it’s really no surprise to see that Windows 8 will have USB 3.0 support. We also have to mention that Microsoft won’t add USB 3.0 support on top of the USB 1.1 and USB 2.0 software stack, and it will write entirely new software stack for

Windows 8 will drop Blue Screen of Death?

We’re all waiting for the next generation of Windows – Windows 8 with anticipation, and we have some good news. According to the leaked version, Windows 8 won’t have the infamous Blue Screen of Death (BSoD), but instead, it will be a Black Screen of Death.

As we all know, Blue Screen of Death was an infamous part of all Windows operating system, and although it has been replaced in the early builds of Vista with a Red Screen of Death, Microsoft reverted back to its standard BSoD. Credit for information about new BSoD

Rumored: Windows 8 will have Kinect support?

We know that Windows 8 which is currently ‘in the works’ will have a ton of new features, and since the early build of Windows 8 got leaked, computer enthusiasts have managed to find an additional feature – ‘detect human presence’ aka Kinect support.

According to latest reports, Windows 8 will have human detection sensor, so we’re guessing that Windows 8 will have Kinect support, that will allow you to log in to your Windows 8 using your physical appearance, that sounds very cool.

Leaked: Windows 8 will be able to run from USB flash drive?

You already know that Windows 8 is in its testing stages, and that it will introduce Ribbon interface, but according to the latest news, it seems that the early build of Windows 8 has leaked and it’s available for download.

Somehow, this early build has been leaked and it’s available for download, but it doesn’t have much to offer. According to the screenshot, this build looks a lot like Windows 7, and it doesn’t have the Ribbon interface. We can only notice minor interface changes in the bottom right corner that are related to user’s accounts.

Windows 8 Build Final , First Beta Scheduled for this Summer

According to the sources  Microsoft’s Windows 8 second Milestone build has been finalized, with Milestone 3 the next to be worked on. After that stage it’s only a matter of time before we see a beta of Windows 8 in testing.
Microsoft compiled 6.2.7947.0.winmain_win8m2_escrow.110218-1608 on Friday after pushing out a number of Windows 8 builds recently. Things are moving along nicely behind closed doors, and versions of the OS will soon be allowed out to Microsoft’s trusted partners for testing. Some of the recent Windows 8 builds which were compiled in the last couple of weeks were:

6.2.7925.0.winmain_win8m2.110207-1736
6.2.7926.0.winmain_win8m2.110209-1755
6.2.7927.0.winmain_win8m2.110210-1740
6.2.7928.0.winmain_win8m2.110214-1825
6.2.7929.0.winmain_win8m2.110215-1802
6.2.7930.0.winmain_win8m2.110217-1825
With Microsoft working on an ARM-compatible version of Windows, it is possible that this could be the version first to testing, with the full desktop experience coming later. With recent leaks pointing toward a version of Windows 8 being ready for future tablets in early 2012, it’s clear that there is no time to waste for the Redmond outfit, especially if they hope to take on Apple and Google in the rapidly expanding tablet market.
Little is really known about Windows 8, though a more cloud-centric OS is expected especially considering the focus on tablets and other machines with no conventional disk drive. Microsoft is keeping its cards close to its chest thus far, though it’s clear the company sees Windows 8 as a pivotal software release, heaping more pressure on an already creaking development team. Still stung from the Vista debacle, MS will be hoping Windows 8 can build on the good faith the 7th installment of the OS managed to return.
Lets see, whats there for us this time.

Windows 8 will bring Ribbon user interface

Microsoft is working hard on its new operating system, and it is sending the test versions of Windows 8 to the PC manufacturers. We have got an opportunity to have a look at its new and improved user interface.

It looks like Microsoft is determined to replace the standard toolbars with Windows 8, and it seems Ribbon will replace the toolbars that have been a part of Windows Explorer for decades. Ribbon has been introduced with Office 2007 and 2010, and we can even see it in Windows 7 applications such as
