Latest Lenovo ThinkPad X220 – offers SSD and up to 23 hours autonomy

Designed for professionals and for those seeking a small and powerful laptop, the X220 comes equipped with a 12.5-inch display, Intel Sandy Bridge processors Core i5 and Core i7, which are 20% more efficient than the previous generations and offers two times more graphics performance.

 

According to information displayed, Lenovo X220 is an ultra portable notebook, weighing in at about 1.3kg and can be equipped with a 12.5 inch display standard HD (1366 x 768) or Premium HD (1366 x 768) LED Backlit Display, IPS type. It also benefits from a 9-cell battery, designed to assure a range of up to 23 hours.

Intel Core i7 990X – the fastest desktop chip ever

Intel has announced the launch of Core i7 990X with 6 cores. While maintaining a brave speed of QPI from 6.4GT/s and a top TDP of 130 Watts, the 990X has a slight performance boost from Intel Core i7 980X, from 3.33 GHz to 3.46GHz for 990X.

And about the L2 cache memory, it maintains and supports each core with 256 KB, while on the L3, all six cores share 12 MB cache. As Intel claims, this is probably the fastest desktop chip on the planet.
Core i7 990X has a HyperThreading feature, which allows it to run all 12 threads at the same time. Another feature of the processor is the Turbo Boost technology.
