Available for $150, the Radeon HD 6790 is AMD’s answer to NVIDIA’s GTX460 and here are some of its specifications; 1024MB GDDR5 memory frequency, 840MHz GPU and 800 stream processors.
What AMD is trying to achieve is a more powerful device than the HD 5770 card but not so much as the HD 6850.

Predictably, its performance offers no threat to AMD’s single-GPU flagship, but the 6790′s 840MHz graphics and shader clock speeds plus 1GB of GDDR5 running at an effective 4.2GHz data rate don’t seem like anything to sniff at either.
