Its been a long time coming but Spotify, which I’m sure many of you already use has launched a new music download service that attempts to clarify itself as quite possibly the only music player you’ll ever need – hence offering a direct competition against Apple’s iTunes. With the new Spotify Music Store, users can now purchase and download full playlists comprised of any songs from the company’s 9 million-track catalog for as low as £0.50 per song.

But the news don’t stop here, Spotify’s new feature allows playlists to be synchronised with your iPod classic, iPod nano or iPod shuffle right from within the Spotify desktop app for PC or Mac. Once you plug in your iPod, you’ll notice it to appear under a new section within the Spotify app labelled as ‘Devices’.
