Sony threatens to ban PS3 hackers from PlayStation Network

Sony isn’t taking kindly to hackers and those that support them, therefore Sony decided to change its policy regarding action against its PS3 hackers.
Sony has released anofficial statement on the PlayStation Blog, saying that it will permanently ban all PS3 consoles from the PlayStation Network and Qriocity service if they use pirated software or any other jailbreaking tool.

In order to avoid banning from PlayStation Network and Oriocity, users are advised to remove all pirated software and jailbreaking tools from their PS3 systems.
To make things a bit more interesting, Sony didn’t announce the date when this mass banning will take place, so users with jailbroken PS3 shouldn’t log in to the PlayStation Network until the hacking community comes up with another solution for this cat and mouse game.
Sony is tired of playing hide and seek with hackers and this drastic move should reduce the number of jailbroken devices on the PlayStation Network. However, we’re waiting to see the hacking community’s response.
