Self-driving car spotted on the streets of Berlin

Self-driving cars might be part of the future, but thanks to the German researchers, there’s a self-driving car driving on its own on the streets of Berlin.

This new car is capable of seeing and driving on its own and it doesn’t even need a human to remotely control it. This vehicle is controlled by computer, and it is roaming on the streets of Berlin thanks to the researchers from Berlin’s Free University. As for orientation, this vehicle is using all sorts of sophisticated devices, and it has satellite navigation system located in its trunk. For navigation,
this vehicle will have camera in the front and laser scanners on the roof and on the front and rear bumpers in order to prevent accidents. According to its developers, this vehicle can recognize cars on the road, pedestrians, buildings, and trees up to 70m around it, and it can even recognize traffic lights, and respond faster than human driver responds.
Current self-driving vehicle is Volkswagen Passat, and as for the price of one self-driving car, we estimate that it should cost around €400,000.
