Apple releases Lightning to 30-pin Adapter and Lightning to USB Cable

You know that iPhone 5 has been announced, and that iPhone 5 will run on iOS 6, but new iPhone will feature a new type of connector, so let’s have a closer look at it.

Apple has introduced its new connector called Lightning, and it should replace the old 30-pin connector. According to the reports, the new connector is smarter and more durable than its predecessor,
and it is all-digital and features an adaptive interface that utilizes signals that each accessory requires, and on top of that, it’s reversible, so there’s no wrong way to plug it in.

New Lightning connector is present on Phone 5, iPod touch 5th gen and iPod nano 7th gen. In addition, Apple has released Lightning to 30-pin Adapter, so you can easily connect your 30-pin accessories with iPhone 5, but you should know that this adapter doesn’t support video and iPod out. Also there’s a Lightning to USB Cable available as well, if you need an extra charging cable.

New connector is an improvement from the previous one, and as for the Lightning to 30-pin Adapter and Lightning to USB Cable, they are priced at $29.00 and $19.00, respectively.
