iBuyPower has introduced its Erebus liquid cooled line of PCs specifically designed for gaming purposes. The liquid cooling systems are found mostly in engines and systems that work on a very high load but the computer systems that work on very high load also require such kind of transformations sometimes.
The need arises because Erebus computers are used for gaming purposes. The gamers want a very high RAM and they overclock the computer to sometimes great frequencies that could actually
set a motherboard on fire literally. The overclocking of the computer results in great amount of heat generation and this proves fatal for the computer. The cooling provided by a simple fan won’t be enough at that time and so liquid cooling systems have been placed in this Erebus.
Erebus combines 4 radiators to cool this pc and pumps 4.5 gallons of coolant per minute. Imagine the heat this Erebus pc generates if it can give out more heat than your refrigerator, microwave and AC combined.
The most basic pc in Erebus line is one with 4 GB of RAM, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 Ti graphics card and Intel Core i5-2400 processor with two radiators for cooling. The high end pc in this line is a computer with 12 GB RAM, Intel Core i7-990X Extreme Edition processor which is overclocked to 30% of the original processor speeds. It has three graphic cards of GeForce GTX 580, one 2 TB hard disk drive and a couple of96 GB SSDs. But this one comes with 6 radiators for cooling purpose.
